The Turf club hosted lead singer Billy Batson's 50th Birthday Party Bash with an all Who cover set. Located in St. Paul's Midway area between Mpls. a half way point more or less, this area used to have the Prom Center where my Dad saw his favorite Gene Autry and where the Andrews Sisters played regularly. Later that night Bill and Ernie (bald one) the brother Batsons played in their original punk 60's garage band the Hypstrz with mostly originals that rocked the house! |
