I remember this performance was raw fresh from her split with Eric. I was in a relationship and we were in our fourth year. We split after seven, and having lived the emotions "..when you're crawling.."(Tori) had captured in the music, it means even more now. I had this his on a video tape of her TV appearances that my ex kept. Thank heavens for Youtube! I looked on the SNL website and everywhere and couldn't find it.

I think I was around 14 when she performed this on SNL and even back then, I didn't think those choir boys were really singing....I still don't. I don't even think that lady with the drums was really playing live. It all sounds like a back track with Tori playing and singing live over it. I think the boys choir and the drum lady were all props.
