Description: http://live.pirillo.com - I was surfing my RSS feeds the other night using Vienna. I came across a blog post about Vista from back in July, and decided it should be shared with you all, and commented on. |

utubegurl1 ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 02:20:05 its good for Windows to have new features and look but ive heard bad things about vista __________________________________________________
ytbobbyl101 ::: Favorites 2007-12-07 20:25:14 I bought a new "power" computer Nov/07 when the old one died. I had it privately made and opted for XP instead of Vista due to the complaints. I stand by my decision. __________________________________________________

Coraxuss ::: Favorites 2007-11-09 12:26:55 Microsoft's only survival is to implement designs from the long dead Longhorn project and put it into Windows 7. __________________________________________________
holman182 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 22:50:58 lol yeah, could be. i'm not entirely sure why MS didn't stick with 98, though. maybe improve upon 98 because its one of their most stable OS' out there and they don't support it anymore. no one does, and its sucks so much. i loved it, still have a 98SE CD, and if MS still supported it, i'd continue using it. __________________________________________________
jeffrey246 ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 23:31:49 xp would crash maybe every 2 to 3 months vista - i am lucky to get a month - i did a backup with w2k - when it crashes i boot w2k and restore vista to c: (formated) drive - nero7 backup works well haven't tried it on vista - vista would be off my computer if i didn't have this apx 25min fix (i haven't had to activate the restore) __________________________________________________
TheRedComa ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 23:02:53 OK, so everyone's griping over Vista and the majority don't seem to care for it much, but do you think it will age well? I say in a few years, after a few patches and the hardware catches up (even though by today's standards it's still too much of a resource hog IMO) Vista might not be so horrible. __________________________________________________
TheRedComa ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 23:01:10 Oh def, I'm sure the same will happen with me once I make the switch (I'm gonna have to eventually, anyway lol) but I just can't part with the simplicities of Windows 9x. Hell, its the first OS I started programming in, so because I fully understand what makes 98SE tick, I feel the most comfortable in it, security-wise, ease-of-use-wise, etc. Maybe it's just a programmer-thing, lol. __________________________________________________
RAWfart ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 19:20:33 The mother board has a lot to do with games and so does the processor __________________________________________________

Mikola2385 ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 00:41:11 I want to build my computer so it can run games to the highest Performance, highest graphics, I dont care about price. I know I need a 768mb graphics card, and at least 2gb of ram. But how about Processor, Dose a Processor have anything to do with the performance of a game? And if so what is the top of the line best Processor for a playing games? Also dose the motherboard have anything to do with performance? Or anything else? And what is an Optical Drive, and hard disc? __________________________________________________
biglou250 ::: Favorites 2007-11-06 21:53:32 The only thing I like about Vista is Direct X10 __________________________________________________
ruihu908 ::: Favorites 2007-11-06 21:32:17 Vista Sucks, USE LINUX!!!!! __________________________________________________
plexiflexi ::: Favorites 2007-11-06 04:14:46 I prefer Wins98 but unfurtunatly can't run it because some programs need XP. Win98 was reliable, it never gave me problems, easy to tweak and used to run way faster than XP even on my old 1.3 gig PC than the XP on 3.3 gig I have now. I don't want Vista because I know it'll be even worse. __________________________________________________ |
