whiggles ::: Favorites 2007-03-05 00:24:46 five and a half minute hallway doesnt work unless its all one shot, nice try though. __________________________________________________
KyuKrypto ::: Favorites 2007-03-10 16:21:35 yes i know. however, navidson planted those cameras all over the house. so he might have edited them into the short. __________________________________________________
cfotoole ::: Favorites 2007-03-16 00:18:15 i mean, it's not bad. i really think it would be better without the music though. it would be creepier because it would seem more real. also, the fact that there's no sound except the groaning while inside the labyrinth is really important, so the music in those parts especially threw me. __________________________________________________
cheekymonkey1979 ::: Favorites 2007-03-30 13:29:23 This isn't very effective to me. No offense though, as you've set your self a Herculean task. It's near impossible to manufacture a visual representation of the house (put this in blue if you want) in Danielewski's novel. He (as Zampano)refers to this many times in the book. The presence and threat of 'nothing-ness' cannot be conveyed in a mediated form like recorded video or audio. you have to be there. This is, of course, inpossible. Nonetheless, great book, and a good try. __________________________________________________
gwendybird ::: Favorites 2007-04-08 19:37:41 In all, I thought you did a good job on this one. It's really quite impossible to show the House without some major effects work.. but I thought that you did a good job in a lot of parts at capturing the essence. Personally I liked your choices of songs from Haunted, I think that the music actually helped to convey the message better (as it clearly was meant to when it was written). Some of the voices could have been acted a bit better, but in all I actually liked this clip. __________________________________________________
samhawthorn ::: Favorites 2007-04-20 18:52:32 The book says the five and a half minute hallway was a SINGLE CONTINUOUS SHOT. Kudos for having a crack though, this book is brilliant, good to see others are inspired by it. __________________________________________________
SHdrummerguy08 ::: Favorites 2007-05-08 00:00:25 I'll be taking my own crack at the Five and a Half Minute Hallway pretty soon __________________________________________________
votreangepetit ::: Favorites 2007-05-08 13:59:32 Actually the books says there are two versions of "The Five and a Half Minute Hallway." The first one is a bootleg VHS copy and the second is a different one released with The Navidson Record. The second one has the continuous shot along with extra footage like what is shown in the begining of this film. Try reading the book again, kids. __________________________________________________
frietag ::: Favorites 2007-05-25 03:25:05 Anyone know were i could see a copy of The Navidson Record. It says it actually exists but its impossible to find on the internet. It says its a short excerpt to...i just got the book and started readding and already wanna see this...or is it like the Blair witch project. __________________________________________________
brolly2234 ::: Favorites 2007-05-31 23:08:39 False. The navidson record does not exist. Anywhere. __________________________________________________
aceofspades94609 ::: Favorites 2007-06-08 02:29:44 valient effort, just get some better actor and special effects, and your almost to the point of having a sub-par film version of the book. Sorry im gonna agree with cheekyMonkey on this one, its not something you could express through film. __________________________________________________
alexweir1 ::: Favorites 2007-06-25 22:10:41 The Navidson Record does not exist. __________________________________________________
frietag ::: Favorites 2007-06-26 13:46:40 see this is why i dont read i get into it to much and start to believe things that dont exist lol __________________________________________________
Brant1234 ::: Favorites 2007-06-28 13:51:43 this is pretty much exactly how i pictured the first film, "five and a Half Minute Hallway," looking like, except in the book it says there are no effects and it is one continuous shot from one camera. really good job though! __________________________________________________
MuscleRider ::: Favorites 2007-06-29 07:22:22 It was a nice try, but the acting was on par with the first Resident Evil. And unless Tom says "I almost became a Tom Sandwich" it does not win in my books. __________________________________________________ |
