Don't get the wrong idea. I like his politics. Maybe he should get a cabinet position, so he can implement ideas, but doesn't have as many opportunities to stick his foot in his mouth. The president needs to be a good communicator. After Bush, we can't have another embarrassing president.

I never said that he made a black joke. He just reminds me of a teacher I had who used to. I base my opinion on more than the Obama comment. Do you remember a comment he made to an East Indian college student about not being able to go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent? This works for comedians, but not politicians. He had just met the guy. Regardless of his politics, to me, Joe comes of as schmucky a used car salesman.

You're waaaaay off. He hasn't told any black jokes....he made a comment that was easily understood, yet also easily misinterpreted, so of course the press had a field day with it. Hillary and Barack don't have platforms, they have "woman" and "black." Biden is the only candidate who has a plan for Iraq (a soft partition, the only viable option), and is the only candidate who has been up front about his record and platform (bet you didn't know Hillary was on the board of directors of WalMart).

Biden reminds me of a teacher I had in Guam who thought by telling black jokes he can break down racial barriers. Even if Joe Biden decides to stop attempting to be so "cool" and "hip", I don't think he stands much of a chance against the polished Obama and Clinton or the experienced Bill Richardson in the debates.

Joe is the best candidate for sure and considering his excellent ideas, good heart and experience and character, I think it is unsettling that the press would make too much of his clumsy remarks -- especially when assessing the current Administration and ALL of their mistakes, policies, scandals and sleaze! GoJo!

I think once the debates begin, it'll become obvious that the other candidates are blowing hot air and are only ahead due to their popularity, not credentials or abilities.
