quedorf ::: Favorites yes, but it only talks about construction, breaking in two. There are many things that can happen to a wooden ship other than a broken back. And conveniently it does not address these. Broken back is possible, but it is more likely that seams would open to allow leaking. that would be as catastrophic, but not as rapid. could take hours instead of seconds. 07-07-18 12:27:54 __________________________________________________
Godusesamac ::: Favorites There's a whole section on structure. 07-07-18 12:24:08 __________________________________________________
quedorf ::: Favorites After going to site, i realize that was one I have already looked at. It doesn't talk about the impossible traits. It mentions that it would be stable, but that is not what is in question. It doesn't mention structure problems. 07-07-18 12:14:26 __________________________________________________
quedorf ::: Favorites I have read alot of studies on the ark, and haven't found a reasonable one yet. My studies have shown it to be impossible. The naval community and engineers and architects will almost unanimously tell you that a true wooden ship cannot be constructed that large. 07-07-18 12:10:47 __________________________________________________
Godusesamac ::: Favorites go to worldwideflood dot com, has a lot of answers there. 07-07-18 12:07:23 __________________________________________________
quedorf ::: Favorites No...that is a common answer...This is why creationists arguments are rarely taken seriously..God can do anything, can be said for any question, but is not an answer. If he can keep a unseaworthy ship afloat, why take the effort to build a ship at all.. just take those he wanted to survive into another place for the duration...Seems like alot of work for no reason. 07-07-18 12:04:11 __________________________________________________
Godusesamac ::: Favorites So you are saying God could not keep the ark afloat? We're talking about God here. Even if it wasn't seaworthy, there is no reason why the ark would not have had God's protection. so the conversation is really irrelevant. 07-07-18 12:00:39 __________________________________________________
quedorf ::: Favorites In case you haven't noticed, aircraft carriers are steel, not wooden. The limit for a true wooden vessel is approx 300 feet. wave motion creates a hogging and sagging action on the ship, and wood will allow it to open seams, and leak. Ships of 340 have been built, but not seaworthy, and required constant pumping. 07-07-18 11:38:19 __________________________________________________
Godusesamac ::: Favorites Big things can't float. I guess all of those aircraft carriers and such are sinking out there in the ocean. 07-07-18 11:34:55 __________________________________________________
quedorf ::: Favorites I don't know who did the tests, but I would never go to sea with them...The ark would not have been seaworthy. not even close.Too big, and that is that. 07-07-18 11:31:56 __________________________________________________ |
