Description: On August 28, 2007, an anti-Iraq War rally/vigil was held in Baltimore City, at the base of the Washington Monument, in the Mt. Vernon Square area. One of the demonstrators was activist Jim Baldridge. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and he is with the "Veterans for Peace" organization. Mr. Baldridge said: "War is not a game!" The vigil was sponsored by the MoveOn Political Action group. The focus of the demonstration, attended by over 100 protesters, was to "push Congress to end the war this September." rushnout ::: Favorites A few comments from a ranting old woman: 1.Activate the damn draft! 2. Demand term Limits for elected officials! and 3.Stop the mainstream media from beaming "news" to the rest of the planet, about the latest Hollywood drama queen bust! That doesn't represent majority of Americans who could care less about who's getting in whos pants! Is it any wonder Americans have the rich, fat and superficial mindset reputation? Now then! 07-08-29 08:32:53 _____________________________________________________ | |
