According to what I have learned from Christians, God answers all prayers, but not always yes, but in the form of yes, no or wait. You brought up one of the few quotes saying a believer will get what they ask in pray, and that refutes the claim that God does not always give what is asked. I have heard theists tap dance around that, but I have yet to get a straight answer, but I am sure evangelists have them.

I completely agree with you g0at! I have nothing against Christianity and I think that the idea of God is cool and everything, but some people need to stop taking the Bible so literally. My advice is to watch the movie Dogma. It's got some pretty good lessons in it. Just throwin' that out there. g0at you have said what many are afraid or too lazy to make a video have been wanting to say. And "I salute you"~(Austin Powers) for doing so.

I love how you ended this video: "It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, it doesn't make a lot of sense to other Christians.. I don't know", regardless of the fact that you clearly stated that you were atheist. Are you Atheist or Christian? I'm sort of a mix between both, but that part just confused me. Otherwise great film :P.

Back in Salem, some good Puritan prayed that his daughter would be saved from demonic powers. Two weeks later, an elderly woman was hanged for being a witch. God answered prayers. Funny, how over time that answer seems so 'wrong' now.

back in Salem, after the elderly woman was hanged, i believe that 18 others were killed for "witchcraft", including men, women, and children. was this God's plan, to cause a chain reaction killing many people who were innocent puritans. I do not fear God because he is in heaven, i fear man who belives he is doing God's work.

Well, we know God has no problem killing innocents <first born Egyptians, Job's family and slaves, etc> so by killing innocents has Xians learned anything?

And under the same Logic, what could possibly give 'god' the right to Judge any person as 'God' or 'Evil', when he is guilty of the same crimes?

Kill one man, you're a Murderer. Kill all Men, you're God. It's all in the Numbers I guess.

Actually Pharaoh killed innocent children decades before God did, and He gave him ample warning. And He didn't bring tragedy upon Job, he simply allowed it to occur in the hope that it would bring Job to love Him more.

Wait...does a Tyrant allow people of his nation to be tortured because it will make them 'Love' him?

Wow, sorry. Bad wording on my part. The story of Job, as you probably know, involves the devil trying to wrest Job's soul away from God, although He knows Job will remain faithful. The hazy part of this story is that the bad things that happened to Job were not God's doing, and it is unsure how much influence the devil could have had. Besides, it is not God's job to heal injustice or to make our lives easier. If He did that, what motivation would we have to be virtuous?

...Gratitude? Based on the idea that we should give something for something (i.e., good behaviour for good treatment) rather than something for nothing (good behaviour for bad treatment/no treatment at all)?
