Description:
New player Cyworld is coming to the US market to take some market share from MySpace. I think is have a goog potential to do so due to its different method of earning revenue and due to the fact that its offerings are different and are atracting. |

ricebunnytoo ::: Favorites Oh wow, US article on Cyworld (: I believe Cyworld came before MySpace? I think Cyworld is better, but might not succeed as much as myspace in the US since it's more "cutesy". Annnnd, living in USA and obsessed with asian culture.. I think cute things are more successful in asian culture than USA. I think the US will have less success because there will probably be less male users..and a lot more female. 06-07-29 04:15:23 _____________________________________________________
sarpicaste ::: Favorites Hi, The US version is not going to be the same as the Asian one, it wil be a lot less cutesy like you said. That presents a big problem for Cyworld here in the US so they are trying to take off some of those feelings from the user. 06-07-30 10:22:13 _____________________________________________________
ricebunnytoo ::: Favorites USA = Males more worried about appearing gay :P less cutesy, touchy, etc. plus, the asian cyworlds have actually celeberties with cyworlds of their own and some do update, so more fans join and stuff (: 06-07-29 04:17:24 _____________________________________________________
ricebunnytoo ::: Favorites Oh, haha sorry ^^ didn't listen to last 1-2 minutes of the video. The US Cyworld is in beta version right now, I just signed up for an account today. http://us.cyworld.com/ 06-07-29 04:21:54 _____________________________________________________
piroro ::: Favorites US cyworld is gay though :p 06-08-02 01:40:40 _____________________________________________________
relaxz ::: Favorites I'm a cyworld US Beta user. You left out some important parts that will make it a success. Cyworld is incredibly well organized -using side tabs- and easy to use. It is like a digital scrapbook. You can upload pictures with the inbuilt photoediting and flash tools. Then, you can write a nice elaborating to share your life. The Asian version includes uploading videos. It is also more interactive in that apart from leaving comments, you can give decorative gifts to your friends. 06-08-10 12:53:00 _____________________________________________________
relaxz ::: Favorites This social networking site is ad-free. Instead of pesty advertisement or unfamiliar seductive pictures and instead of paying a monthly subscription, you can spend the money to keep your site strictly yours to use and to decorate them. If you don't want to spend the money, Cyworld give you some to decorate your room at the beginning and you can just use the site for free. 06-08-10 12:57:40 _____________________________________________________
jhulie3 ::: Favorites I like your video, and how u explained about Cyworld. um Cyworld Us is not the same as korean version nor taiwan/japan/china. but for me i think cyworld is much better than myspace, because u can have a virtual room, and u can really show the real you, unlike myspace. I dont know yet if cyworld would be successful in the US, since u have to buy stuff to be able to use, it, like if ur out of the "acorns" or money. I think u should sign up so u'll find out for urself. 06-08-18 02:49:27 _____________________________________________________
samusamu ::: Favorites haha... if you're going to do simple math for us, you should probably do it right. 18 million out of 48 million is much closer to 1/3 than a half... and when you're talking about millions of people, thats a big difference. 06-12-06 17:05:28 _____________________________________________________
Theobrothers ::: Favorites New player? Cyworld has been around forever. 07-05-20 04:48:11 _____________________________________________________ |
