cozymonk ::: Favorites there are a few things wrong with your anti-globalization. True, every major clothing manufacturer and walmart use sweatshop labor, which destroys the economies of developing countries and developed countries are the ones that benefit from this. But, take india, for instance. India is a developing (third world) country and has boomed from globalization. The giant fiber-optic cable has easily enabled them to take many out-sourced jobs. and, in fact, US citizens move to india to keep their jobs. 07-07-25 04:04:06 _____________________________________________________
cozymonk ::: Favorites Also, globalization is "stealing" the US of many of it's jobs, as it is many developed countries. the US will have to focus on jobs that have to be done locally and on entertainment, otherwise we won't be doing much, seeing as almost everything is manufactured in developing countries. 07-07-25 04:06:05 _____________________________________________________
cozymonk ::: Favorites A globalized economy means a world that is more unified. Alliances will be stronger as countries become more dependent on one-another. Eventually, there might even be a unified government. what is scary is how this government may come into power and be run. But, if the world was completely globalized, the wealth of each nation would be equalized (see how america goes down and india goes up?). And there would be less fighting over things like oil. 07-07-25 04:08:28 _____________________________________________________
Teutonicberserker ::: Favorites Globalization destroys the environment for the sake of cheap plastic junk for Americans and limitless fortune and power for the uber-rich. Welcome to the Global Plantation 07-07-25 04:26:18 _____________________________________________________
Shinryunosekai ::: Favorites India is an exception. Look at all African countries. None of those is actually going up. And the fact that American economy is going down, yeah I heard about that, but from what I remember it's not because globalization. And globalization would be a good system if politics and economy were seperated. The first one is supposed to control the other. But they actually merged, so the whole power is now in the hands of a few. 07-07-25 08:24:08 _____________________________________________________
JarradIRONEAGLE ::: Favorites Backward nations wouldn't make money if it weren't for globalised economies. 07-07-25 10:05:09 _____________________________________________________
cozymonk ::: Favorites I'm not saying that it's all good. this video says it's all bad. Africa gets a lot of shit, external & internal problems. And america's economy is declining from more than just globalization (despite what people claim, GW isn't really running things into the ground. just our government in general that can't handle money). 07-07-26 04:15:35 _____________________________________________________
cozymonk ::: Favorites Globalization is a big factor; as more countries gain capabilities, they replace our workforce, leaving us to try to find other ways to keep our economy up... a cycle that most developed countries go through. even in empirical times. 07-07-26 04:16:03 _____________________________________________________
Shinryunosekai ::: Favorites Well yes I agree with you, everything is not bad in globalization. And to answer to your last comment, I thing globalization allows a certain dynamism to first-countries, making their workpower move from pirmary and secundary sectors to the third sector. It's true that this is a bit risky, but I think first-worlders have the situation under control. 07-07-26 12:19:46 _____________________________________________________
